Innovation University will be called Aalto University

The Government confirmed on the 29th of May that the Innovation University will be called Aalto University. At the same time the Government empowered Minister of Education Sari Sarkomaa to sign the university's charter of foundation and rules in June.

Government Appoints Board to Aalto University

 Board Introduced on 15 August at 11.00–11.30 a.m.

In its session held on 14 August 2008, the Government appointed the board of Aalto University following the proposal of the Ministry of Education; the founding industry representatives and the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK had already appointed their members on Tuesday.
